Robin van Persie gets my vote as the best striker in the Premier League.
誰會是英超最佳射手呢？我會投 RVP 一票。
The reasoning is simple. Not only is van Persie prolific with 30 goals in 36 games in 2011 but his all-round play sets him apart.
理由很簡單。不僅在今年的36場賽事中踢進30球，且每一次的表現遠超過其他選手。
If you look at the other contenders - Wayne Rooney, Sergio Aguero, Fernando Torres, Edin Dzeko, Rafael van der Vaart and Luis Suarez - then they are not either as prolific or their all-round game is not as strong.
瞧瞧其他的競爭對手吧，有 Wayne Rooney, Sergio Aguero, Fernando Torres, Edin Dzeko, Rafael van der Vaart, 以及 Luis Suarez，他們要不是沒有進球的優勢，就是沒有每次都貢獻強而有力的表現。
It can't be right or wrong. It's purely based on opinion. So we can debate it all day long.

Maybe Suarez comes up next because of his work rate. He never, ever stops running for Liverpool. But he's not as deadly when it comes to finishing.

Rooney does an incredible job for the team. But his goal record is not always as prolific. Torres has probably been the best in the past but is struggling to get back there.

There could be a Manchester City category of its own. Aguero is hard working and prolific. Dzeko is a handful of a centre forward and scores goals. Mario Balotelli for sheer entertainment value. Carlos Tevez for bad boy value.

But for his value to the team, in terms of all-round play and what he adds to the team, it has to be van Persie.

In the past, Arsenal have had great players. Thierry Henry, Dennis Bergkamp, Cesc Fabregas, Robert Pires. There's a long, long list.
以往 Arsenal 都有著很棒的球員。Thierry Henry, Dennis Bergkamp, Cesc Fabregas, Robert Pires, …實在太多了。
But they all had better players around them as Arsenal had more depth and were winning trophies. Arsenal still boast terrific players (Wilshere, Szczesny, Sagna to name but three) but not as many.
但當時他們週遭也有著不錯的球員們，造就 Arsenal 有著不錯的板凳深度，也能拿下獎盃。現在的 Arsenal 也有著很棒的球員們，如 Wilshere, Szczesny, Sagna 算是令人印象深刻的幾位，不及當時的多。
Now van Persie's importance is greater because he is the stand-out player - and he delivers. It's all on his shoulders more than it was for Fabregas or Henry and yet van Persie always comes up with the goods.
如今 van Persie 的重要性不可言喻，不但是個高於標準的球員，更重要的是能直接貢獻球隊。他所承擔的責任遠大於 Fabregas 或 Henry，而且還一直以絕佳的狀態帶來進球。
His movement, vision, skill and technique make him world class. He takes a superb free kick. He's a great finisher. He handles the pressure and has become a great leader since getting the captain's armband.
他的移動力、視野、球技、以及進球使他成為世界級的球員。他帶來精彩的自由球射門，是個絕佳的進球員，扛住球隊的壓力，戴上隊長臂章成為球隊的領導人物。
On Sunday, Arsenal played well against Stoke. Gervinho had his best game. But Arsenal would have struggled to score unless van Persie came on. When he came on, Gervinho had a striker to aim at.
週日 Arsenal 對上 Stoke 的表現不錯。Gervinho 也繳出漂亮的成績單。只是 Arsenal 還在奮力地踢進球門，直到 van Persie 一來就改變了局面。有了他，Gervinho 的傳球就有了能進球的人來接應。
Is he up there with the Premier League's all time greats? Alan Shearer, Dennis Bergkamp, Didier Drogba, Thierry Henry, Torres have all at some stage, in my opinion, been the best. Andy Cole, Robbie Fowler, Michael Owen were great goalscorers.
那麼，他足以堪稱英超史上的最佳射手之一嗎？Alan Shearer, Dennis Bergkamp, Didier Drogba, Thierry Henry, Torres，就我的看法而言，他們都是在英超裡赫赫有名的射手。Andy Cole, Robbie Fowler, Michael Owen 也是頂尖的射手。
I don't think van Persie is in the same class as some of those guys - yet. But he is capable of getting there. The big drawback would probably be whether you can rely on him enough because of his injury record, and you need to rest him a lot.
我認為 van Persie 不能算是和上面所述的球員一樣，就目前而言。但他有能力達到這般的高度。最大的缺點在於無法放心地依賴他，正因他過去的傷病史，且必須讓他有足夠的休息。
But the fact that van Persie is, in my view, the best on current form suggests that the players in the league are not as good as some in the past.
但就事實來看，我認為 van Persie 在隊中是最佳的一位，這也意味著目前的槍手們還沒有像一些過去的槍手球員那般的好。
Never mind strikers, David Silva has been my favourite player of the season so far and yet can't get a regular game in the Spain team. What does that say about the Premier League? Do we have a Cristiano Ronaldo style superstar anymore? No.
若不提射手，David Silva 則是我在本季至今最喜歡的球員，且他在西班牙國家隊沒有一席之地。那麼英超至今的表現如何呢？我們還有像 Christiano Ronaldo 這樣的超級明星嗎？沒有。
But the Premier League is, in my opinion, better because it's more competitive, more exciting and, on any given day, any team can beat another. Just look at QPR beating Chelsea and City beating United.
我認為英超是依然精彩的，因為富有競爭力、緊張感、以及爆冷門的比賽。就像 QPR 擊敗 Chelsea，而 ManCity 征服 ManUnited。
It's not vintage but it's the most entertaining to watch. And when it comes to strikers, van Persie is the best of all.
也許不是最棒的，但會是最能賞心悅目的比賽。而且只要提及射手，van Persie 就是全部中最棒的球員。
