'We are scared of losing in big games,' says Arsenal's Cesc Fabregas

Cesc Fabregas has admitted Arsenal were "scared" of losing to Manchester
United at Old Trafford last Monday and that they fear defeat in major
fixtures.

Cesc Fabregas 承認在上週一於 Old Trafford 輸給 ManUtd 的 Arsenal 球隊，比賽前
既膽怯會輸給對方，也害怕在重大賽事裏輸球。


Arsenal lost 1-0 to a Park Ji-sung header to continue a dire run against
United, who beat them home and away in the league last season. Arsne
Wenger's side have also lost their last four league games against Chelsea,
the reigning champions.

Arsenal 敗在 Park Ji-sung 一記頭球，以 1-0 輸給在主場的 ManUtd，且 Arsenal 持
續著悲慘的雙方交戰紀錄，上賽季亦在主客兩場皆輸給 ManUtd。教授 的槍手們也連續輸
給上屆冠軍 Chelsea 四場英超比賽。


"They [United] were more aggressive than us," Fabregas said. "They have the
belief that comes from not losing at all [in the league] this season. That
gives you a lot of help mentally. I'm realising more and more that football
is all about confidence and mentality. Sometimes you do the right thing but,
if people tell you it's not right, you start believing it, even though you
were right at first.

『他們(ManUtd)比我們積極得多，』Fabregas 表示。『他們有著來自本賽季(英超)未曾

"I think the difference on the night was that we were scared of losing but
they were not scared of winning. That was a big difference that played in our
heads. Sometimes we seem scared of losing these big games – we don't really
go for it and we're tempted to drop back and see what the opposition do. We
look to see if we are capable of beating them by what they are doing and how
good they are on the day, instead of us going forward, causing them problems
and dominating the game ourselves."

『我認為當晚的差異就在於，我們害怕輸球，但他們不怕有沒有贏球。這就是在我們的念

Wenger admitted his side had been tense. "We looked a little nervous at Old
Trafford. We put a bit too much pressure on our shoulders because we were so
intent on winning a big game and as a result we didn't turn up with the kind
of performance we can produce."

教授 也承認自己的隊伍表現有點緊張。『在 Old Trafford 我們顯得有點緊張。給自己

Arsenal are two points behind United, who have 34 points and a game in hand.
Yet with Manchester City level with Arsenal and Chelsea a point behind,
Wenger believes the title race is unpredictable. "This championship remains
very open. Don't forget that we have played at United, at City, at Chelsea
and at Liverpool, so we are in a strong position. Now the rest of the season
will be decided on how much we've learned, how much we improve and how much
confidence we can take from our performances so far."

Arsenal play Barcelona in the last 16 of the Champions League, having been
defeated 6-3 on aggregate by Pep Guardiola's team in the quarter-finals last
year. But Wenger said: "We want to qualify, to knock them out, rather than
worrying about avenging last year's defeat."

Arsenal 在上賽季於歐冠的八強賽遇上 Barcelona，並以 6-3 輸給由 Pep Guardiola 所
執教的球隊，而後者止於四強未能晉級。但 教授 表示：『我們要晉級，擊敗對手，而非
去想報仇上賽季輸球的恥辱。』


Wenger is content regarding injuries. "Overall the situation looks quite
positive. Abou Diaby is back in full training. Cesc Fabregas and Robin van
Persie have had more minutes on the pitch and are getting better and better.
We think Thomas Vermaelen can return in January."

教授 對傷兵復原情況感到滿意。『整體而言，狀況都不錯。Abou Diaby 已回到正式訓練

這正是為什麼我不敢看強對強的比賽。
(上週一晚上一直夢想著槍手勝曼聯(1-0)，然後又覺得太貪心了，平手好了(1-1)
又覺得不夠，要多進一顆球(2-1)，接下去就.....只記得夢到5-5就睡著了(￣□￣|||)a

正因為前賽季的看球感受、以及過去的紀錄，
對於自己身為一個槍手球迷，
總是為每次的大賽感到擔憂，
總是期待能領先，哪怕是一個幸運進球也好，
可以改變自己看球的悲觀態度。
(逆轉勝也好,10/16 逆轉勝 Birmingham 那次就令我格外地激動，恰恰的進球更是一絕)

球迷能做的，也只能在比賽前、過程中、以及賽後表達對其之熱愛：
